When you hold a clear picture of what you wish to do, be or experience, you are giving the Universe clear instructions to manifest it for you, and the way to receive it will be made clear to you. If you block your way with thoughts of “I can’t do that because…”, then you are also giving the Universe instructions to create these obstacles in your way to experiencing what you desire. Just focus on the desired result and you will have it.

If what you desire is something you can read about or watch on dvd, then do so, as this will make the visualisation (picturing) clearer.

I do not believe we are “here” (having a “human experience”) to mooch away our existence or to be unhappy. We are “here” to experience anything we choose to.

The human population on this planet has gone from 1 billion to almost 7 billion in approximately 200 years. I think, if we want to continue to live here, we must learn to live in harmony with each other and with the rest of nature.

It seems to me, that it doesn’t matter what religion you follow (or not), the only logical reason for us being here on earth is to experience being “human”. What we experience in our time here as humans depends very much on what we choose to experience. We can make the most of our time here, living life to the full and experiencing as much as possible, or we can “play it small”. We can be happy and joyful, or we can be miserable and complaining.

It also doesn’t matter what you have experienced up until now. It is the choices you make today that are creating your future. In fact, it is the choices we are all making that are creating the future of mankind on this planet. Live joyfully! Be loving and sharing and we will all benefit.

Most people today are aware that the life they are living is determined by the person they are and their attitude to life, whether you call it “karma” or “what goes around, comes around”. Your personality determines the choices you make - how much money you earn, how successful you are…everything! But if you are not happy with your life, or certain aspects of it, what can you do to change it – or more to the point, how do you change “YOU”?

Our personality (behaviour) is controlled by our subconscious minds. It is not enough to just say “I want to be more loving”, or “I want to be more successful”. We need to “reprogramme” our subconscious minds. While there are many personal development tools to help us do this – like hypnosis, affirmations, etc. – one of the simplest methods I have found is Mind Movies. You create your own Mind Movie(s) with images of the life you would like to be living and watch it regularly. This reprogrammes your mind to focus on the desired results. How can it get any better than that?

What if…Star Trek was really showing us the way?

For many years now, Star Trek has been introducing us to things like instant interpersonal communications, telepathy, holodecks, alternate realities, time travel, transporters… long before we experienced them in the “real” world.

Modern thinking suggests that there is no time or physical distance between where we are and where we want to be, so all these things can be “real” – when we are ready to accept them. And if we are already connected (part of a single consciousness), then soon we may not even need these “props” to communicate or travel.

And what if this whole “thing” is like a holodeck programme that we have designed to experience, and it will continue until it is “played out” according to the programme/story design. And then, maybe we will choose to experience something completely different.

But, of course, that does not mean that the story-line is fixed. In Star Trek, the (real) people interact as they choose with the characters and things in the holodeck, and with each other. But they can also amend the programme – or even “reset” it – as they go along.

And what if when we die, we are simply leaving the holodeck programme and therefore it does not mean we cease to exist?

Of course, this is just an analogy…my analogy. We all have to try to make sense of the world in a way that means something to us. Other people may choose different analogies.

It certainly makes a lot of sense to me: All is consciousness (energy), and consciousness can neither be created nor destroyed.

Oh, and if you are having trouble believing in a single consciousness that we are all part of, consider what the alternative is – that every single living creature (humans included) has consciousness while it is alive and that consciousness “goes away” again when that animal dies.

I believe that we are a part of nature. In our society, most people spend most of their time indoors and therefore isolated from nature. Lack of sunshine leads to depression and vitamin D deficiency. Breathing stale (often chemical-laden) air cannot be good. Also, not being in contact with the earth leads to us being electrically charged and that, too, has health implications. No wonder so many people seem stressed and miserable!

Check out people who enjoy walking or gardening regularly. Not only do they seem happier, they often live longer (and stay active longer), too.
